2020

I’m back!

If you had not noticed, I took quite a hiatus from blogging through the holidays and beginning of the year. And honestly, I was torn to do so.

You see, I have had SO many creative blogging ideas and writing prompts that I’ve wanted to share with you, my lovely readers, but all the while I was busy moving through the game of life (and literally moving…like moving houses).

So here’s a snapshot version of what mid-November thru February has looked like for my family…

Tired yet? Welcome to my world.

Yet through all of it, I wouldn’t trade a single moment of busyness.

Hubs and I have been living in the bliss of such an exciting and exhausting time in our life! Zach and I have literally not slowed down since Thanksgiving and I can say without a doubt that we’ve had fun in the process. I mean, HELLO…WE BOUGHT OUR FIRST HOUSE! If that’s not enough excitement for one season of life, I’m not sure what is.

But here we are, back in the new normal of life…figuring out our new routines and daily schedules. I am making a stride to focus on my blogging and publicity events (stay tuned for that one!!) and Zach is getting in the habit of leaving earlier for work and getting home later than usual. But all in all, we are moving towards a healthy and vibrant 2020. We are taking steps to make that happen and it all starts with the family.

Zach and I moved to north Georgia in February of 2019 and had a strong focus on establishing our ministry with our amazing students, implementing new strategies in our ministry and figuring out who we are individually and together in the new season of life we entered. And now that we’re once again in a new season of life, we are entering it with the intentionality of resting in what we accomplished and established in 2019 and truly “zeroing in” on what our life together as a family looks like in the midst of those accomplishments.

This year, we are determined to love one another deeper, grow together spiritually, establish healthy habits for our future family (don’t worry, no preggers yet!), enjoy every moment of making memories in our new house, and out of that help the ministry that the Lord has entrusted us with to flourish.

2020 is going to be a year of growth and joy in our lives and I pray the same for those of you who are reading this.
