This morning as I was drinking my coffee and scrolling insta, I came across an IGTV video by the beautiful Dawnchere Wilkerson. She’s been doing a series called “To Hell and Back”. She’s had some FIRE stuff to say lately.
But this morning’s mini series video was talking about time.
Her biggest point is that the Lord is the giver and redeemer of time. Even if you feel overwhelmed or like you literally do not have any time to yourself, give Him what you have. Offer the Lord the time that you can find. Even if it’s 1 minute or 1 hour. He is the giver and the redeemer of time.
I find it so peaceful: the time that I have right now.
I’m a homemaker, co-youth pastor with my husband, a blogger, an advocate for cystic fibrosis, and a pup-mom; so some weeks, my planner is jammed packed; some weeks it isn’t. It really depends on the season of life I am in. But as I was thinking and processing this morning, I came to the realization that I have not picked up my planner ONCE in the last week and a half. Because I have been stripped of most of my responsibilities on a weekly basis. The Lord has redeemed my time GREATLY.
The world as we know it has come to a screeching halt in the last two weeks and I do not believe it is a coincidence. I believe the Lord is giving us the opportunity to spend time with Him.
I believe He is giving us the chance to redeem our time we’ve lost with Him just as He redeems the time we are able to give to Him.
I believe the world is going to realize that the time that we waste is time that is precious and the things we fill it with are unnecessary.
Time is a valuable thing and right now we are in abundance of it. The author and holder of time has given us a redeemable chance to use our time wisely.
